What is EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique?
EFT is a psychological form of acupuncture (without the needles!) based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture, which stimulates the meridian system bringing it back into alignment. Once your energy system is emotionally well balanced you will find it much easier to control your habits with little or no willpower. This energy healing technique which deals with the whole body. EFT uses a finger tapping technique on 8 of the meridian points mainly on the upper part of the body (head, hands and torso). Click here to download and view the tapping points.
EFT is very simple to use and an effective self help healing tool where it is capable of dramatically reducing physical pain, emotional pain, erasing limiting beliefs and habitual mental patterns, usually very quickly and without the need for drugs or needles. EFT allows you to be in control, you can use it anywhere at any time and usually works when nothing else will. It’s so easy even a child can use it! You don’t have to feel nervous as you can just allow it to happen in its own time and in own way to get results.
What EFT can be used on?

How does it work?
EFT works by lightly tapping on your meridian points and combining this with verbalising a specific memory or feeling, using an affirmation (set up phrase). When negative feelings from a particular event cause an imbalance in your body’s energy system, EFT can restore the balance eliminating the negative feeling. Although your memory of the event will remain unchanged, EFT will release the negative feelings associated with it so it becomes like an old memory and you will start to feel better about it.

EFT brief history
EFT was given birth to in the early 1990′s in the U.S. by Gary Craig, a Stanford graduate engineer, using some of the TFT (thought field therapy) theory developed in the 1970’s by Dr Roger Callahan. Craig initially developed a system of tapping on the body’s fourteen meridians (energy lines) then, with further study, reduced this to a sequence of eight tapping points which works just as effectively. This became the system widely used today.
